Over the summer Abigail Parry (year 9) competed at the Aquatics GB Next Gen Championships. This is a competition for the top 20 swimmers in the 13 – 14 age group in the United Kingdom. Abigail competed in the 100m and 200m breaststroke, making the in both events. She finished 4th in the 200m breaststroke, the best finish for a 13-year-old, and 6th in the 100m breaststroke. She achieved personal best times in both events.
She also competed at the Welsh Nationals, winning a gold medal in the 50m breaststroke. Abigail has been selected to be part of Swim Wales West team which will compete in Sheffield at the National Counties Team Championships. Congratulations Abigail. Everyone at the school is very proud of you.
