Our second PSHE Day of the year took place on Thursday, 8th November. Pupils in Years 7, 8 and 9 attended sessions delivered by colleagues from other agencies including Dyfed-Powys Police looking at the impact of substance misuse. Carmarthenshire Road safety Unit worked with Year 8 on road safety. Year 7 looked at water safety with the RNLI and also physical and mental health and wellbeing with the school nurse. Year 8 worked on healthy eating and nutrition as well as self-image and the impact of media. The Spectrum Project worked with Year 9 on raising awareness of mental health issues and how to manage challenging situations when they arise. As part of the schools citizenship programme Year 9 also had lessons on Human rights and how media influence attitudes in society.
