Our library currently houses in excess of 9000 items, in both English and Welsh, split between the Reading Centre and the Reference and Study Centre
The Reference and Study Centre is situated in room 18 (1st floor top block) and houses our non-fiction collection, and reference books. It is also home to our main library database and careers library; has tables and seating for 30 students and computers for pupils’ use. Here you will also find newspapers and various periodicals in both Welsh and English.
The Reading Centre opened in September 2010 in a small building adjacent to the car-park, to act as a more informal area where reading could be enjoyed in a relaxed atmosphere. This resource is predominantly used by the lower school (years 7—9), though other users are always welcome during opening hours. The room currently has over 2000 books and magazines but no tables or chairs, only beanbags and a ‘storyteller’s chair’.
