Ysgol Gyfun Emlyn held their second Readathon on the 29th June 2018.  There was no writing requirements for this Readathon – just read and enjoy!  The plan was to alternate pupils around the different inside areas of the school, but due to the amazing weather, it was decided that we should have as many of the sessions outside in the school’s impressive grounds.  Pupils were able to bring in blankets and bean bags and sit amongst the shady trees with their favourite books and authors.  It is safe to say that the day was another resounding success!  Not only did pupils and staff alike enjoy a relaxing day reading in glorious weather, but we raised an amazing £1497.65 for the school’s learning resource centre!  The top form prize went to 8E and the top earners of the school were Jack Springer in 8G and Maizy Melnyczuk in 9I.  A massive thank you to all pupils, parents and staff who supported this year’s Readathon.
