Key Stage 4 students considering going to Oxford and Cambridge to study after their A Levels had the opportunity to meet with Dr Bethan Mortimer of St John’s College Oxford.  St John’s, one of the oldest colleges in Oxford, founded in 1555, has strong historical Welsh links having been originally founded to train priests during the reformation.  Our students had the opportunity to find out more about the way Oxford works including the application and interview process, bursaries and scholarships as well as accommodation as they relate to St John’s. In addition to those who looked at a variety of subjects, those with a particular interest in medicine and the sciences were also able to look into this aspect and what Oxford has to offer.  Dr Mortimer, a science graduate, was able to share her own personal experiences to help our students with their future plans.
