On Wednesday 3rd February, 8 Year 12 students attended the Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire Seren Hub Launch at Parc Y Scarlets. The Seren Network has been created by the Welsh Government to support Wales’ brightest students to fulfil their academic potential. Offering a range of academic activities, the hub will provide students with the knowledge, experience and support needed to help make informed decisions about their future.

The launch involved a full programme of activities including an inspirational talk given by Tori James, the first Welsh women to climb Everest and a range of workshops provided by Universities such as Oxford, Cardiff, York and the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. Students follow a particular pathway depending on their subject choices and future events are being planned.
