Ysgol Gyfun Emlyn’s annual Harvest Festival was held early in October. Led by Mr Richard Evans, Caleb Evans (Headboy) and pupils from 9I (Hamish Gunn-Wilson, Kiera Kerr, Carys Escott, Jack Davies, Bonnie Pendragon, Sinead Hunt and Robert Corbett) the theme of this years’ service was ‘Reconnecting with Nature’.

The school stage was decorated with donations of food in support of local food bank appeals.  By working collaboratively with the community this was an opportunity for pupils to help tackle poverty and transform lives.  Local food banks support individuals and families in crisis through the provision of emergency food supplies donated by schools, churches, local businesses and the general public.  The circumstances surrounding a crisis are unique to every individual and a large proportion of food donations come from the Harvest collection so the school thanks all pupils, parents and staff who willingly gave in support.  Musical items were led by Mr Emyr Evans and Mr John Paul Davies with the school choir singing “Yr Hydref” and “Sabbath Prayer”.
