On the 5th July, Lucy Pope, Saul MacGrath, Hefin Banfield, Albie Griffiths & Charlie Fogg along with Mrs Botticelli took part in a Fire Fighter for a day course at Newcastle Emlyn fire station.

The group took part in various activities that gave them a taste of what a fire fighters job would be like.  They trained in squad drills, hose drills, branch handling, ladder drills, health and safety and some first aid as well as team building and problem solving.  Time was also spent in the classroom beforehand looking at anti-social behaviour and its effect on the community.  The pupils demonstrated excellent teamwork during the day and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.  Each pupil was awarded with a certificate to mark their achievements.
